Good Monday Morning

Good morning dear friends

I like to start every morning with a cup of tea, my journal, my bible, and my “one thousand gifts notebook”, where I record things I am thankful for.

 What a beautiful sight greeted me this morning as I sat in our sunroom with a second cup of tea.

 There were rays of sunlight beaming through the trees.

And as I watched it got brighter.

and brighter

Until it was one big spotlight flooding through the entire woods.

Then I noticed the sun’s rays had caught the delicate outline of a spider’s web .

I am thankful for a beautiful start to the week.

Early Morning, My Favorite Time of Day

I like to get up early in the morning while it is still dark, wander into my kitchen, turn on the lamp on the kitchen counter, get my "Bonjour" teapot and make some tea. 

Then I gather a warm quilt and sit in my chaise lounge,

and watch the sun come up through the trees.  Some mornings it is breathtaking shades of pink.  This morning it looked like this.

Then I get my mug of tea, my journal, my gratitude journal, my bible, my Streams In The Desert and spend some time reading, thinking, praying, being encouraged, and inspired, and planning my day.

Then I'm ready to begin my day and today it began with talking to you!  I hope you enjoy this day .

On this Valentines Day don't forget to say "I love you" to the ones you love.  We can never hear those three words often enough.

Early Morning

I love mornings, getting up before the sun rises.

Everything is still.

The only sound is the hum of the furnace and the quiet ticking of the clock.

I write in my journal, read my bible,sip my mug of hot tea, and talk to the Creator.

It's my chance to think about the day ahead, count the things I'm grateful for and watch the sun as it  rises through  the silhouette of the trees in the woods.  I wonder if it will be pink today......Oh my goodness, I was just about to click the "publish" button when I noticed the sun was beginning to rise. 

If I had slept in or had the curtains closed I would have missed it.  I'm glad I'm a morning person, especially today!
