Thankful Thursday

Good morning my friends.
I am so glad you stopped by because I am really ready for a break. I have been doing hand applique for the last 3 hours and my fingers need a rest. So I'll put the kettle on and make us a pot of tea.

So, I was wondering what to talk about today, just thinking that today is Thursday and watching the rain fall, for which I am very thankful. Then I thought" That's it! Thankful Thursday" ( a little alliteration there, maybe it's kind of corny but maybe not. ) Wouldn't it be cool if bloggers all over the world added one sentence about what they're thankful for every Thursday. It would be easy to remember the day because of the alliteration.
Today I am thankful for the steady rain we are having here. We need it so badly!
I think I can hear the camellias saying "ahhh..."

It's wonderful to see the raindrips dripping off the leaves of the nandinas

So what do you think? Are you interested in joining the Thankful Thursdays?
All you have to do is mention something you're thankful for each Thursday along with whatever else you happen to be talking about that day.
If you want to join in, just post the idea on your blog and encourage your readers to play along and leave me a comment to let me know you're in.  I'll post mr linky too.
Today I am thankful for the rain.

Thanks for visiting. Hope you'll come back soon.

  6. What a lovely idea. Giving purpose to an otherwise ordinary day of the week. I will make every effort to remember to be specifically thankful on Thursdays. I am usually pretty appreciative, but you have challenged me to write out loud about it. Thank you for this post. Susan

  7. I did not see this post until Friday but what a great idea. I just told another blogger that without the rain, we would not have the flowers. *sigh* I am thankful for blogging friends of which you are one! I hope you are now having a Fabulous Friday after your Thankful Thursday.

By the way, how is your DH doing? Is his hand all healed now?

    Hugs ~

  9. I'm thankful for the smells the rain leaves and the green. Today the trees are all white with forsted ice and it is beautiful...thankful for a hot latte, an orange scone, my granddaughter's laugh, my husband's hard work for us, a new refrig, stove and dishwasher...Handcream and good smelling soap-the color RED! And of coarse Rhondi's blog....

  10. hi sister-in-law, all my e-mails come back except for this site so it is even more special to me. Robb and I are in St. Paul for the US Nationals. Great skating but it is SO cold here. They have warm enclosed walkwayso we NEVER go outside. It was -15 overnight!! But, the winter carnival starts tomorrow and the ice carvings are fabulous so we may venture out to see it. Bill is flying home as I type and keeps saying, I want us to start a normal life again and I say amen. Alena was at a church retreat for the last weekend and is on the bus as we speak. I go home on Jan. 30. Hope you guys are well and John's wrist is healing well. I miss you both a lot. love, Mare

  11. Rhondi,
Thankful Thursday is a good idea and I think I'll try to do that too. I just hope the thing I'm thankful for every week isn't that the week is almost over.
