Anatomy of a Quilt

Good morning friends.
I think you know that I am passionate about quilting. I am getting ready to go to a quilt workshop and have been spending lots of time in my studio, so I thought I'd show you what I have been doing.
This is how I make a quilt. First I need something to inspire me. My inspiration is this book. I choose lots of fabric from my stash.
and more fabric. The more color the better!!
Organize and pick some favorites.
Then begin to make some blocks.
and more blocks.
To be continued. Stay tuned.
Hope you have a great day today and that the sun is shining where you are.

  1. Hi Rhondi,

  3. I am writing to you while listening to the song wonderful world. Great song.
I was reading your blog about your journal also. It reminded me so much of my sis-in-law. She is always writing things down in her journal and she said the same things. She also uses the $1 notebooks.
I also wrote about a sunrise this AM and it really did make it feel like a wonderful day.
    Thanks

  6. What a cheerful quilt this will be Rhondi! How can you feel like anything but sunshine with these colors. Was the sun shining this day or did you make your own? :)

    Hugs ~
