Thankful Thursday

On Thursday I always like to take the time to be thankful. Today I am thankful that everyone in my family is healthy, that despite the sagging economy my husband still has a job and that today I have something creative to work on, and something to do that is worthwhile and will benefit someone else.

These are photos that I took at Olde Tyme Marketplace when I was there a couple of weeks ago. It’s such a delightful shop and Beth, the shop owner has such a flair for displaying everything.

I am also thankful for this beautiful fall weather we are getting and a sunny day with no humidity.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Hi Rhondi -- I like the idea of taking time to purposefully be thankful. And I think it's especially important during times of stress or worry, when we can really lose sight of the GOOD, and focus on the BAD.

As for me, my list of "Thankfuls" is, thankfully, very long. . . and begins with my husband of 31 years, who still loves me despite my best efforts to drive him nuts.

    We're having grand weather, too.
    Best . . . Cass

  3. I like your attitude and that you count your blessings. I try to get up each morning thankful for another day. I've been married to Don for almost thirty years, and have him, three children and two grandsons to be thankful for.

The Olde Tyme Marketplace looks like a great shop - I enjoyed your photos.

  4. Thankful that the good Lord has blessed me multitudes of times over my lifetime, held me up when I was at wits end & gave me a wonderful DH to be forever at my side.

Have a beautiful & safe holiday. TTFN ~Marydon

  7. Rhondi,

I do love the displays in the market. I think that really helps sales, at least for me as I am creatively inhibited!

It is so nice to be reminded to look at your blessings, it makes the day that much better. I have so much to be thankful for I can't begin to list it. But today I am really thankful I woke up with an optimistic outlook and an open heart for whatever is thrown my way!

Enjoy the rest of your week, Rhondi! :-)

    xoxo

  12. Rhondi, enjoyed the visit to Old Thyme Market Place. Thanks for sharing. I'm curious about the blue and white quilt that is on the sidebar and listed as your favorite quilt. Is there a previous post on this piece? I want to know more about this fabulous quilt.
    Thanks, Sarah

  13. Rhondi, today I am thankful that my son, a Marine, will be returning to the USA next week. This is his second time to serve over there. I am also thankful that he will coming home for good and can start his life in the civilian world.

  14. it would be fun to own or work in a shop like that. imagine getting to decorate and group all the wonderful wares together in interesting ways.

one of the best blessings in life is when you're humble enough to recognize and appreciate the little things!

i am thankful that my going-on-17 year old min schnauzer presley is still hanging in there and gracing us with his love every day!

  15. I'm thankful that I don't have to go out in the rain and wind today. One or the other is ok but not both together thank you.

I'm thankful every day that my husband loves me, that I have a sound roof over my head and four firm walls and that I have enough to eat.

Our Heinz 57 dog Sally has been gracing us with her presence for 16 years and I'm thankful that she seems in reasonable health despite cataracts and deafness - her nose is in tip-top condition!

    love, Angie, xx
