White Wednesday

My favorite color combination is blue and white. I love bright colors and have lots of red and yellow in my home. Lots of dots, stripes, checks and other patterns.

Sometimes I daydream about changing it all and I wonder what it would be like to go to an all white pallette. White is so fresh and clean, so calming. When I see homes that are different shades of white I am drawn to them.

So in an effort to appease my desire for a house filled with white, I am starting a White Wednesday post. Every Wednesday I will post photos of things that are white. It can indulge my yearning for white online and not redo my entire color scheme!

There are a few things in my home that are white: this beautiful Wedgwood tea cup, in the conway pattern which was the same as we had when I was growing up.

Some white gerbera daisies sitting on my wicker desk.

In my virtual white house my living room might look like this!

Would you be interested in joining me for White Wednesdays?  It's probably too short notice for you to post today, but if you want to, just let me know and I'll link to you.  Otherwise I'll have the link up next
Wednesday for you.
You can use the "White Wednesday" photo.  Can someone please tell me how to make a button for it?

I hope you have a wonderful day today!

  1. Good morning, Rhondi. I'll look forward to your White posts each week. I can't commit to joining in because I truly don't often know where I'll be from one week to the next. In my real life i love blue and white, with hits of red and yellow, but it's fun to dream another colour scheme.

  2. Hi Rhondi!

Oh my...........I love that big ol' Gerbera daisy in the cup.....so fresh. It leaves me longing for Spring!

I'm all about the blue and white right now.... :-) I'm on a fabric quest.

    Warm blessings,

  3. I am beginning to like white too and just crazy about blue and white. When decorating my home I want to put more white and blue in and maybe a touch of green

  4. Rhondi,
I'm mulling over painting my china cabinet and server in a warm white. They are not REAL wood, and I think of doing something to them often, this time I think I'm going to take the plunge. Of course when I do that most all my dining room will be white (excpet for my oak table and chairs that are older than all of us put together and I'll never put a drop of paint on them), but these junky pieces might cure me of piney away at all those beautiful white rooms.

  5. Love your white idea! I don't think I've ever seen white gerber daisies. They're one of my favorite flowers. Enjoy your day!

  7. I'm finding white to be very appealing, especially at this time of year. I'm thinking it is very calming after the busyness of the holidays. I just might join in next week if I can get my act together. I'm sorry, but I know nothing about creating a button.
