Mosaic Monday

How are you on this Monday morning?  I got our tree up yesterday and took a few pictures of some of my favorite ornaments and made a collage of them for Mosaic Monday at Mary's.

I am very slow at getting the house looking like Christmas this year.  So far all I have done is the tree in our living room and the tree in our kitchen.  I think some of the things I usually put out will go back up in the attic unopened. 

Boy am I getting forgetful! Last year I bought some Christmas plates from Dollar Tree but I couldn't remember where I put them.  As I was checking in the back corner of the kitchen cabinets I came across a set of dishes with holly on which I had forgotten that I bought this summer at a yard sale!   I was so excited and  now we can have all our meals this month on Christmas dishes, which is something I always thought would be such a luxury.

Mosaic Monday

Hello my dear friends.

We just got back from spending Thanksgiving with our newest  grandson, Spencer.  There are always so many things to be thankful for, but when you have a new baby in the family, everything else fades into the background.

Every Monday Mary at Little Red House hosts a Mosaic Monday, so I'm joining in with her today, showing this collage of Spencer at two weeks old.  That is our daughter holding him, not his Mom.  Right now he is the cutest baby in the entire world and one of the top 4 cutest babies ever born!  Our other 3 grandchildren were the cutest baby ever when they were born too!

Now that Thanksgiving is over we all start the mad dash toward Christmas.  Only 25 days to go. 

My TO DO list is a mile long, but I am determined to simplify Christmas this year. I'm sure many of you wish to do the same.

I haven't forgotten about the One Thousand Gifts, but I plan to go back to posting Thankful Thursday and write about them then.  If any of you would like to write Thankful Thursday posts again, let me know and I will have a Mr Linky for you on Thursday.

Mosaic Monday

Mary at Little Red House is hosting Mosaic Monday and I decided to join in today. Here are some snapshots from my garden recently. Be sure to visit Mary to see all the other beautiful mosaics.

Yesterday at church I talked to a man who is 84 years old. He was wearing a baseball cap that said "Veteran of World War II and so I thanked him for serving his country. It was such a small thing but meant a big deal to him! We spoke about freedom and how it's not free. So on this Memorial Day let's all remember those who gave their lives in service for our country and thank those who have served in the past or who are still in active duty. They deserve our thanks.
