Thankful Thursday

I am glad that I decided to do the Thankful Thursday posts because it reminds me to be grateful for many of the things in my life that I take for granted. Today I am thankful for encouraging words. Each morning I find encouragement from God's word. This morning I read in Isaiah 48:17 "I am the Lord your God who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go."
I am thankful for encouraging words from family and friends. Yesterday I was talking to my cousin and she was encouraging me in my creative abilities.
I am thankful for all the kind words you leave in your comments.
I wonder who I can encourage today with my words.

What are you thankful for today?

Rhondi xo

  6. Today I'm thankful for the laughs I shared with my brother today when I went to visit him in the hospital. I'm thankful God is working on him and I see that every visit. I'm thankful for my family and friends because without them I would be nothing.

  7. Hi Rhondi.
First, I love your back porch with the adorondack chair and black toile pillow! We have the same birds here, plus every spring we have a great crested fly catcher, that spends a couple of weeks here , pounding on our back window!

Today I am grateful, that my husband is home safe from his two day business trip...It is so quiet here without him.
    Hugs,

Our evening went by quickly as the men started to cut up the trees the wind took down, while I stayed indoors and did some spinning. Here it is midnight already! goodnight...

  14. I'm thankful that the rain let up and allowed dh and I to get outside and make the garden even more lovely. I feel we are stewards of this tiny piece of God's earth, and that we should do all we are able to make and keep it lovely. In turn we are visited by all the birds you recently showed, many animals pass through bringing life to the garden, and the flowers, shrubs and gorgeous trees surround us with shade and perfume.

Life is good.........even with an aching back! Tonight homemade soup, a pizza and a movie sounds perfect.
    Have a great weekend Rhondi.

  15. Such a beautiful post Rhondi. I love to count my blessings, especially when I find myself forgetting to be mindful. I guess the thing I am most thankful for is having the ability like you to see life through rose colored glasses. A touch from God's grace. I really love this scripture. Blessings, Karen

  21. Oh Rhondi! I love the saying 'I am drinking from the saucer because my cup is running over.' Today I am thankful that I feel less tired and have less pain as each day passes. And, of course, it has all left me with some happy memories of online friends who came to visit.

Thanks for reminding us each week to express our gratitude.

    Hugs ~
