Thankful Thursday

Good morning
Today I was thinking about what a blessing friends are in my life. Last week some old friends invited us to spend a couple of days with them in Hilton Head. It was such fun remembering times past when all our children were young and now talking about the grand kids.
Yesterday I got together with a couple friends and we sewed on quilts for the day.
This weekend some new friends have invited us to go to the mountains and we'll be staying at her boss' beautiful mountain house. (pictures to follow).
So today I am thankful for all the friendships I've had in my life. Many of the friends are gone, moved away, or we've moved away, but there is one friend who is always there and that's Jesus. He's my best friend.

Here are the others that have joined in today. Hope you can find time to visit them. It always make me feel good when I read all the things people are thankful for!

  3. Rhondi, thank you for adding my name to your thankful list. I am sorry my request came so late.

I too am thankful for the many friends in my life and the sad thing is we have moved so much that we lose touch. I do have wonderful memories of those friends that have touched my life over the years and I think that is the important thing.

Have a thankful and fun day.

    Hugs...Jeanne

  4. Happy Thankful Thursday Rhondi. I wrote about being thankful for new friends, and just like your circle of quilters, last night I heard a lecture about The Knitting Circle and how healing it is for us to sit together and work with our hands sharing stories about our lives. You and I seem like such kindred spirits, Rhondi. Have a lovely day.

  8. Oh, Rhondi...you put my favorite photo back for your header...I just LOVE it.
I am so thankful for so many things it is hard to pinpoint just one or two. My life has been a blessing since the day I was born...and continues right long into my old age. i am thankful for my 2 grandsons that suffered broken backs last year to be walking, running, dancing now...Oh, thank you, God.
I will join you next Thursday if I can get my desktop running smoothly again....I'll let you know.
    love, bj

  13. I just found your blog because you came to mine and registered for my painting give away. My daughter and I love quilts although we never have made one. When she was growing up we lived in Illinois and all the students there are required to study quilting. The Chicago Botanic Garden (we lived right across the street from it) hosted the most wonderful quilt show every year where children from all over the state are required to go to and end up falling in love with quilts. Thank you for your lovely blog
