Thankful

I am thankful for a lovely Thanksgiving day yesterday. It was very quiet with just 2 of our kids being able to come, but we still had a great time. We went for a walk in the woods , watched a movie, put up some decorations outside and ate a wonderful meal. Here we are just before we sat down to eat. I just noticed I left my apron on! It was a very mild afternoon so we took advantage of the weather and put up these big 10" balls on the dogwood tree in our front yard.
They really sparkle in the sun and even at night they provide a little interest.
The day after Thanksgiving I am still feeling very thankful.

The trees all decked out are too pretty for words. I have never seen anyone do the. Wow. Makes me think I should hunt some ornaments for my tree in the back yard.

  7. Outside christmas balls - how lovely. You look great in your apron, I wear mine all day long - so threads don't stick - and sometimes I forget to take it off when I leave.

We had a simple thanksgiving with just us this year. I loved it.

  11. Hi Rhondi -
I'm so glad your Thanksgiving Day was a good one. I love the picture of you and your family and I'm glad you could be together. When you get a chance please stop by and see what I shared about our day filled with bloopers and faux pas. And a lot of love and thanks. In the middle of it all there was no thought of pictures.

  12. Good morning, Rhondi
First of all, what a handsome group around your Thanksgiving table! I'm sure you had a lovely day and a good visit.
I did a little decorating around the front door, yesterday. You know, I bought some large balls, just like yours, to hang in the birch tree in the drive - I like the idea of the shining and reflection when the sun hits them.

  16. That is such a sweet photo of your family gathered and the table ready with the food in the bowls.

I'm curious about your table. Did you paint the vine border on the top?

  17. Just thought I'd drop in to say Happy thanksgiving and Christmas, chickee! You have a beautiful family also. My hubs is from West Chester, PA., if that is the same as her sweatshirt. But I, too, am long time married to my sweetheart and just love to read where committed people blog! May all you be happy this coming Christmas season, my sweets.....
