These little birds are back in the kitchen again.
sitting on a tray on the kitchen island
It's spring and so that means daffodils and yellow. I love yellow because it is such a cheerful color.
I like the way the light comes through the kitchen window at various times throughout the day.
Most of the blue glass is put away for now.
Daffodils smile at me.
Some fake daisies fill a yellow vase and brighten the countertop.
One of my roosters gets a place of honor.
Little chickens find a place to roost beside the hellebores.
In the morning my kitchen is quite dark, until the sun slowly works its way around to that side of the house.
Ruth Bell Graham, Billy Graham's wife had a sign above her kitchen sink that said,
"Divine service performed here three times daily."
I like that. I am not just washing the dishes and preparing meals I am doing something that pleases God and blesses my family.
I love my kitchen window and I have a saying above my kitchen window too.
I do love the writing above your window, Rhondi. I've also had a window above the kitchen sink in every house. At one time it was great to be able to watch the children in the back yard - do mums do that anymore? I can't think of too many young mums that stand at the sink after dinner and keep an eye on little ones - the little ones seem to all be watching TV or sitting at a keypad.ReplyDelete
Your window is gorgeous!
Just lovely! Your kitchen makes me SMILE!ReplyDelete
Your kitchen is so welcoming Rhondi! I love the colors, the sun shining through....well just EVERYTHING!ReplyDelete
What a gorgeous kitchen window. Of course I adore that blue glass against your yellow. I love the words written over the kitchen sink too.
I could be very happy in your cheerful kitchen. I adore the colors and love how you have assembled your pretty things. I also enjoyed seeing how it looks at different times of the day.ReplyDelete
Your daffodils are ahead of ours. I have nice fat buds, but no flowers yet. I love your hellebores too. Your post today started my day on a happy note. Thank you for that.
The verse above your lovely kitchen window is one of my favorites. I like what Ruth Graham had above hers also. We are to do all with a grateful heart and as unto the Lord.ReplyDelete
I love your blues and yellows. Your kitchen makes me feel happy.
Rhondi, your blog, every photo, and every writing, blesses my heart. The saying of Ruth Graham's and yours, above your sink, should be in every woman's kitchen, as a reminder of whom she serves..."do everything unto the Lord"...then nothing is too difficult or tedious. And your blue and yellow kitchen is the most beautiful I have seen...it oozes cheer and invitation to fellowship...I love it!ReplyDelete
Your kitchen window...and all your kitchen that you show here...is so lovely. I enjoyed perusing your photos and even took a closer look on a couple of them. Your blue and yellow is stunning and all your little things so pretty. This post is good enough to eat!ReplyDelete

Your kitchen is such a wonderful place! You've added sweet touches of yourself and the beauty of God's creation to a room that often gets passed by. I have been thinking of adding a shelf in my kitchen window and you have inspired me with yours. Love that saying of Ruth Graham Bell's.ReplyDelete
