Puttering

One of my favorite things to do around the house is putter. It's fun just to take something from one room and put it in another. I had a few pieces of china on our breakfast table and replaced it with some blue glass. In the morning when the sun is shining it sparkles!

I also have a pot of artificial gerbera daisies on the table. I love them because they look so real. Here's a close up.
One time we were having a party and 2 of the guests were discussing whether the daisies were real or not and one of them said that yes they were real, that she had felt them! Anyhow I love the color and it is a great compliment with the blue.

I love how the light catches the glass and casts a beam on the tablecloth.

The sun makes it shimmer and sparkle.

Sitting here admiring the light on the glass and enjoying the warmth of the sun pouring in the window, it is easy to forget about the frigid weather outside. So much for global warming!Anyhow, back to puttering. I hope you enjoy your day.

  1. Hi Rhondi -
I love the way you've put together your blue pieces and those daisies. They look so real! And the sunshine making shadows and shimmers is fantastic.

I'm off to lunch with my daughter and daughter-in-law. We are celebrating my dear daughter-in-law's birthday. Just me and my girls!

Thanks for sharing your sunshine with us today. We have gray skies that promise to clear and return sunshine to our corner of the world. That's what they tell us, anyway - we'll see if it happens!

  2. The blue glass looks so pretty on your table and I agree - the gerbera daisy does look like the real thing.

I'm so glad we have blue skies today and sunshine even though it is cold. A great day for puttering. Enjoy!!

  3. Good morning Rhondi! You gave me a little sunlight this morning. The blue arrangement is beautiful. I love how the smallest reaarangement can completely change the look of something with so little work ;-D Gerbera daisies are one of my favorite-actually anything in the daisy family. Silk flowers are great as long as you can barely tell the difference!
Thank you for brightening my day

  11. I love your blue glass Rhondi and the blue checked cloth on the table sets it off a treat, while the gerberas draw the eye beautifully to the whle thing.

I like yellow as you like blue but our house is very very small so there's not room to display things much. I had to give stuff away when we moved here, but never mind, you've just given me an idea for a small surface that is crying out for something on it!

  15. Rhondi, your blue glass is gorgeous. The blue table cover just sets it off.
Your photos are perfect to bring out the blue at it's best.

I am posting a thankful post tomorrow and I realize this is late so please don't worry about adding me to your list. I wasn't sure my computer was going to let me post. it has been a pain being so slow I couldn't get connected. My dh fixed the problem finally.

    Hugs...Jeanne

  18. That cobalt blue in the sunlight is stunning. Blue has always been my favorite color for the kitchen and dishes. In a perfect world, I'd have cobalt blue all over the kitchen.
